When our Chicago customers ask about our Volkswagen AWD 4MOTION®, we let them know that it’s an advanced version of the standard AWD found on most vehicles.
VW 4MOTION® adjusts itself to your driving style and the terrain you’re currently on. While all tires are engaged, the system will distribute about 90% of power to the front axle and about 10% to the rear axle. This will give you the feeling of Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) but the handling of AWD!
When VW 4MOTION® sensors sense that a tire is losing traction, extra weight is redistributed as necessary. This means you’ll have the perfect balance of torque when applied to keep you and your Volkswagen in control on the Naperville roadways. If the road conditions are smooth, 4MOTION® can switch to FWD or RWD to help conserve fuel by reducing the amount of power sent to the wheels.
